Application
Theconnector with a rating exceeding 0.2A is inserted into an appliance inlet of atype corresponding with the connector to be tested and complying with therelevant standard sheet, the appliance inlet is mounted in an appropriate test apparatus.
An exampleof which is shown in figure 19, with the pins pointing upwards, the dimension40mm±2mm shall be complied with.
A lateralpull, as specified in table 7, is applied to the cord first in a directionperpendicular to the plane containing the axes of the current-carrying pins,and is immediately released.
