Cord Bend Tester (Rope Lights) (Model:SFT S2-1206)
Application
This tester is intended in general for cores of circularcross-section having an external diameter up to and including 12.5 mm and forsector-shaped cores when it is not possible to prepare dumb- bells.
The apparatus shall be held in a refrigerator before and duringthe test.
The diameter of the mandrel shall be between 4 and 5 times thediameter of the test piece (see below).
The mandrel shall be uniformly rotated at a rate of one revolutionin about 5 s and the number of turns shall be as specified in the followingtable:

The actualdiameter of each test piece shall be measured by either a Vernier caliper or ameasuring tape. For sector-shaped test pieces, the minor axis is taken as theparameter equivalent to the diameter for determining the mandrel diameter andthe number of turns.
For flatcords, the mandrel diameter shall be based on the minor axis dimension of thetest piece, which is wound on with its minor axis perpendicular to the mandrel.
