Application
IPX7 IMMERSION TANK is intended for testingprotection against ingress of water, IPX7 ingress of water in quantities causing harmfuleffects shall not be possible when the enclosure is temporarily immersed inwater under standardized conditions of pressure and time, and it isconstructed in compliance with IEC 60529.
Immersion up to 1 m, 0.15m above top 1m above bottom, Ingress of water in harmful quantityshall not be possible when the enclosure is immersed in water under definedconditions of pressure and time (up to 1 m of submersion). Testduration: 30 minutes and Immersion at depth of 1m
IPX8 IMMERSION TANK is intended for testingprotection against ingress of water, IPX8 Immersion beyond 1 m, and the equipment issuitable for continuous immersion in water under conditions which shall bespecified by the manufacturer. Normally, this will mean that the equipment ishermetically sealed. However, with certain types of equipment, it can mean thatwater can enter but only in such a manner that it produces no harmful effects.
