Application
The hot-wireignition test requirements for electrical and electronic products, householdappliances, Fire hazard testing of materials, components or simulated burninglike overload resistance heat or ignition source in a short time caused bythermal stress.
Hot-wire ignition performance isexpressed as the mean number of seconds needed to either ignite standardspecimens or to burn through the specimens without ignition. The specimens arewrapped with resistance wire that dissipates a specified level of electricalenergy.
