Application
HydrostaticHead Tester is designed to measure the resistance of fabrics (coated, uncoated & non wovens) to water penetration under pressure while firmly clamped in thetest rig of standard area, by means of dynamic test method and static testmethod Laboratory standard compressed air supply is required to produce thepressure from 0-3 bar inside a built-in water tank filled with distilled water.The bank is linked to a test head to which the specimen is clamped quickly andeasily by means of a hand wheel.
After the test has been started, the test pressure is automaticallycontrolled. The test specimen is observed visually forevidence of penetration by water. The test area is well illuminated and an unobstructed observation of thesample is from all sides greatly facilitates the visual drop detection. 100cm2 test head is included with theinstrument.
A specimen is subjected to asteadily increasing pressure of water on one face, under standard conditions,until penetration occurs in 3 places. The result is to the behavior of fabricswhich are subject to a water pressure for short or moderate periods of time.

Test Principle
Throughthree testing methods: dynamic testing, static testing, and program testing,the test specimen is fixed in the testing area specified in the standard. Theair pressure control transfers a pressure of 0-3 bar into a built-in water tankfilled with distilled water. The water tank is connected to a testing head.After the test begins, the test pressure begins to be automatically controlled.
